SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Booth #3506 – Claymount is featuring its full line of products at booth #3506 during the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago this year. Based in the Netherlands, Claymount is part of the Imaging Components business of Varian Medical Systems (NYSE: VAR) and is one of the world's leading suppliers of high voltage connectors, ionization chambers and solid state automatic exposure control systems for controlling dose during medical X-ray imaging.
The Claymount booth #3506 complements the Varian RSNA booth #4303, which offers a broad array of products.
"Claymount products enhance our line of components and integrated subsystems for X-ray manufacturers and help our customers market their products faster and at a lower cost," said Sunny Sanyal, president of Imaging Components for Varian. "Through cost-efficient manufacturing capabilities, we are growing our share of the global imaging components market to better serve our customers."
New Claymount products to be showcased include:
CA24 Miniature HV Connector -- The Claymount CA24 is a 75kVDC rated connector consisting of a solid plastic body with a replaceable silicone rubber jacket. This next generation silicone/plastic hybrid design offers significant benefits compared to conventional solid rubber connectors. The CA24 is easy to install: No grease or special tools are required. Once installed, the CA24 is maintenance free. In addition, the very small outer diameter enables easy feed-through in C-arms, cable hoses, drag chains and ceiling ducts. The CA24 in combination with our extra small (13.2 mm) diameter Nano-technology based 75kVDC X3-type cable provides a compact and maintenance free solution.
Optica 20 Manual Collimator – The Claymount Optica 20 is a modern-looking, manually operated collimator, equipped with a long-life power LED that projects a bright light field. The spatial alignment of the detector under the X-ray beam is made easy with the center laser line and the optional rotation flange. A Dose Area Product (DAP) meter can be externally mounted in the provided rails or integrated within the enclosure of the collimator.
