Hideaki Mori | Varian

Hideaki Mori is the President of Asia Pacific and Japan at Varian. Hideaki is passionate about building a sustainable comprehensive cancer care system in APJ, enhancing access to advanced forms of care, and extending survivorship for people with cancer.

Hideaki has 30 years’ experience in healthcare. He became Head for Siemens Healthineers Japan in 2015 before moving to the regional role at Varian in 2024. Prior to this he held various roles in R&D, Research, Marketing and Sales, before leading the national sales and imaging and therapy division. He is actively engaged in industry associations, including Chairman of the Medical Devices & IVD Committee in the European Business Council.

Hideaki has deep experience in developing the imaging and radiation oncology market. He has built success through an agile mindset and driving complex strategic shifts that continuously improve the organization. He previously led a partnership with Varian Japan, establishing a collaboration that has been in place for over ten years.

Hideaki is also a long-time champion of DE&I and is currently the Chair of APJ DE&I Council, with a focus on developing a strong pipeline of diverse candidates for future leadership positions. He believes in creating a corporate culture that is passionate about its purpose and puts its people first.

Hideaki has a BS in Engineering and Mechanics at Waseda University completed its Executive Management program at Babson College.
