The company will exhibit a portfolio of comprehensive oncology IT solutions, a real-time planning tool for ultrasound-guided high-dose-rate brachytherapy treatment planning*, and new capabilities* of the Calypso® system for real-time tumor tracking and motion management that will further expand the indications for use to include the treatment of lung cancer.
The Varian/Siemens Partnership Expands
Siemens Healthcare will exhibit advanced diagnostic imaging technology within the Varian booth at ASTRO this year. The strategic global partnership between the two companies, first announced in April, will expand into North America as of October 26, 2012. The partnership covers the mutual marketing and representation of products for imaging and treatment in radiation oncology and includes the development of software interfaces between Siemens and Varian treatment systems.

Software for Treatment Planning and Care Management
The latest releases of Varian's software products will also be demonstrated, including international versions in four additional languages for key emerging markets. The rankings were recently announced by IMV, Ltd., an independent healthcare market research firm that analyzes service trends in the imaging industry.**
